Mary Elizabeth O'Hair

Mary Elizabeth O’Hair was born to James and Dorothy Goodballet in Clinton, Illinois, on August
1, 1943, and passed from this life on March 19, 2023, in Woodward, OK, surrounded by family.
As a child, her family moved numerous times before Mary graduated from high school at Fort
Cobb, OK. Mary met Dusty O’Hair at Sonic in Woodward in 1962. They were married in
Camargo on May 10, 1963. They lived on the family farm in Laverne for a brief time before
moving to Enid and Medford, and finally settling in Pond Creek, OK, in 1976.
Mary was a music teacher for most of her adult life, inspiring a love of music in many young
lives along the way. She loved quilting, singing, Elvis, cooking, and telling stories. Mary was the
fun, silly aunt and the entertaining grandmother.
Mary was preceded in death by husband Dusty, parents James and Dorothy Goodballet,
brothers, Charles, Joe, and Richard and his wife Pat.
Mary is survived by her son Nelse O’Hair and wife LuAnn of Laverne, OK, daughter Dee Clark
and husband Lance of Conifer, CO, grandchildren Kacie Dooley, Noah O’Hair and wife Sarah,
and Evan Clark, as well as six great-grandchildren whom she adored, numerous nieces and
nephews, and sister-in-law and best friend Carol Goodballet.
