Lois Pendergraft Carson

  Lois Pendergraft Carson was born September 22, 1939, to Claude and Hazel (Barwick) Pendergraft. She was 1 of 10 children including a twin brother. The family made their home in Pond Creek in 1948 when she was 9 years old. Lois thrived in school thanks to teacher Charlotte Murray who took her under her wing, even convincing the lions club to pay for voice lessons, which created a lifetime of love for Lois and her joy to sing the lord's praises.

  She graduated from Pond Creek High School in 1958 carrying the title of "Bearcat Queen " an honor which she held dear. She married and had 5 children who filled her life with motivation to always work hard and cherish her family.

  Lois was preceded in death by her 2 sons Floyd Morrow and Jeff Morrow. Her parents, four brothers and two sisters.

  She is survived by three daughters, 9 grandchildren.14 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, two sisters and one brother along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.

  Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek, OK officiated by Pastor Gary Miller. Interment will follow in the Pond Creek Cemetery.
