Leah Kay Elliott, 83, passed away peacefully and comfortably August 14, 2025, at home in Pattonville, Texas. She was born December 3, 1941, in Sand Creek, Oklahoma, to Everett and Gail George and welcomed into the family by her older brothers and sisters, Lyle, Verla, Anita, and Ercil. Leah lived a life filled with love, adventure, and purpose.

Leah graduated from Wakita High School in 1959 and attended the University of Oklahoma for three years studying education before marrying and beginning her life and family with Speed Elliott III in Wakita, OK.

Leah married Speed Elliott III, August 7, 1960, at Wakita United Methodist Church in Wakita, OK. Leah and Speed lived a wonderful life and raised their family in the Wakita community while building their life around farming, ranching, small business, and custom harvesting across the southern and northern plains. Leah devoted her life as a wife and mother and is leaving a legacy of love, grace, and patience with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Leah was preceded in death by her parents Everett and Gail George, sister Anita George, Verla’s husband Clinton Hays, and brother Ercil and wife Shirley George.

She is survived by her husband, Speed Elliott, of Pattonville, TX; son, Cary Elliott, of Pattonville, TX; son, Lance and wife Deb Elliott, of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Zach and wife Jenika Elliott (Luke, Jason, and Joel), of Severance, CO; Matt and wife Nicole Elliott (Weston, Regan, and Gentry), of Eugene, MO; Christian and wife Kolbie Elliott, of The Colony, TX; Catrina Elliott, of Houston, TX; Emily and husband Dayton Spomer (Nash and Noah), of Lincoln, NE; Brother Lyle and wife Pat George, of Grove, OK; sister Verla Hays, of Tulsa, OK; Brother-in-Law James and wife Oleta Elliott, of Wakita, OK; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Leah will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the Bethel Hawley Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Lillie officiating. There will be a family dinner after the service from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. The graveside service will be at 12:30 P.M. at the Wakita Cemetery, Wakita, OK. Memorials can be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Clardy, 13086 F.M. 905, Pattonville, Tx 75468. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek, OK.
