Celebration of Life for Helga Hardin, 84, of Enid, OK will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek, OK with the Rev. Randy Kiel officiating.
Helga was born September 29, 1939, in Mannheim, Germany, the daughter of George and Ella Bolldorf. She passed on June 3, 2024, in Enid, OK.
She grew up in Germany and attended school there. She met Ray Crow while he was in the service there and married September 2, 1959, in Mannheim, Germany. In January 1960 they arrived state side and lived in Fort Polk, LA, then later to be transferred back to Germany. In 1968 they moved to Pond Creek to make their home. Helga was a homemaker until the summer of 1975 when she began working for the Medford Nursing Home. In the fall of 1975, she began working for the Pond Creek-Hunter School as a cook in the cafeteria where she later became manager.
April 4, 1977, Helga became a U.S. citizen which was one of the proudest days of her life. On June 27, 1980, she married Bill Hardin. She retired from the school system in May 1997. She enjoyed painting, gardening, dancing, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Helga will be remembered for her loving heart and giving manner.
Surviving Helga are Daughter, Patty Lorenz (Monty); Son, Robert Crow (Lisa).
Stepdaughter, Sharon Mitchell; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Helga is preceded in death by Spouse-Bill Hardin, Spouse- Ray Crow, Son- Ronnie Crow; her parents, sisters- Sonya & Rosemarie; brothers- Andreas & Christian.
