Brandon Scott Moore

April 18, 1973 — March 19, 2023

Kismet, KS

Branden Scott Moore was born on April 18, 1973 to Robert E. and Lavay (Overton) Moore of Nash, Oklahoma and unexpectedly passed into eternity on March 19, 2023 at the age of 49.

Branden grew up north of Nash in the Hawley community where his love for farm life and wide open spaces flourished in the many hours he spent on his grandparents’ farm, afternoons “helping” in his dad’s mechanic shop, and summers driving combines and tractors in the fields. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1982, and was a lifelong member of Bethel Hawley Baptist Church. He graduated Jet-Nash High School in 1991, and went on to work for several local farmers before finding his vocational passion, truck driving. After gaining experience with Matt Meyer Trucking and Troy Skaggs Trucking, he spent the majority of his time behind the wheel for Butler Trucking and Hank Lewis Trucking. His trucking adventures took him from coast to coast, racking up over a million miles, where he never met a stranger.

Branden married Amanda Button in Medford, Oklahoma on July 14, 2022, and they made their home in Kismet, KS with their 3 beautiful children, Jayla, Ty, and Madie. Branden’s solid foundation of his faith in God helped him build a loving family and a genuine pride for his country. His leisure time was spent perfecting his barbecue skills on the pellet smoker, enlisting the help of his family as taste-testers.

Branden is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bud & Ruby Moore and Earl Overton & Lillian (Overton) Day. He is survived by his wife Amanda, of the home, and his 3 children, Jayla, Ty, & Madie; his parents, Robert E. & Lavay Moore of Nash, his sister and brother-in-law, Kara & Andrew Tindal of Derby, KS; a large extended family, and an abundance of friends.

A Celebration of Life is being held at 10:00AM on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Bethel Hawley Baptist Church, Nash, Oklahoma. Western attire is encouraged, and his trucking friends are welcome to drive their trucks as a show of remembrance.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to a scholarship fund established for his children at Gateway First Bank of Nash, OK.  PO box 189 Nash, OK 73761
